Hello & welcome!
We're glad you're here.
Hi, we're Team Quiet!
We're here to help you show up and be seen and heard in life so that you can make the connections and contributions in the world that your compassionate heart desires.
Because we've been where you are...
We know that low confidence is holding you back in life. Whether you’re feeling too socially anxious to leave the house and have some fun, or not good enough to pursue your dreams and live the fulfilling life you deserve.
Something inside of you has been stopping you from showing up and being seen.
Part of you keeps you small and quiet, because it feels safer than showing up as your true self and risking judgement, criticism and rejection. But deep down, you know you’ll be happier in life if you’re following your heart, taking a few risks, reaching out and connecting with others, but that protector within you feels powerful and determined to keep you safe the only way it knows how… by hiding the real you away.
You start to think that there’s something wrong with you as you compare yourself to others. You’re telling yourself you ‘should’ be able to do certain things, because other people seem to cope so easily. But you’re struggling to summon the courage and clarity you need to move through the panic and anxiety you feel.
But there comes a time when you can no longer avoid speaking up and being seen...
We know your pain, because we were the quiet ones too. The ones who would freak out whenever someone would talk to us. We know what it’s like to feel unable to ask for the help you need, and instead pretend to be okay. We've felt the fierce panic that the mere mention of the words ‘presentation’ and ‘interview’ can trigger.
We were so embarrassed about how ‘flawed’ we were, we just wanted to hide ourselves away. So we did everything we could to avoid speaking in front of people or being the centre of attention; from declining social invitations to the point we stopping getting asked, to sabotaging job applications making sure we didn’t get an interview, and pretending we had no dreams of our own we wanted to follow to avoid the risk of judgement and criticism.
We spent years of our lives rejecting ourselves so that other people didn’t have a chance to.
It doesn’t have to be this hard...
It’s taken us over a decade of research, counselling, reading, coaching, courses, training, and getting super uncomfortable in the name of growth, to collect enough puzzle pieces to understand what was going on for us and to learn how we can make changes for ourselves to show up how we want to in life.
We know it’s so hard because no one really talks about this (and seriously, who has a decade to spend trying to figure it all out for themselves?). That's why we feel it’s so important to share everything we have learned, because you shouldn’t have to feel alone, broken and ashamed the way that we did for so long.
We’ve been there. We’ve dived into the research for you. We were reluctant explorers on the path from social anxiety to quiet confidence, and now we want to help you walk that path, too.
Now, we help quieter and more sensitive people like you with...
Developing strategies to manage social anxiety & overcoming that feeling of not being good enough so that you can let go of your tendency to hide yourself away
Practising your uniquely impactful ability to express yourself & uncovering your quiet confidence so that you can walk a path that’s aligned with your true nature and live a more fulfilling life
Reconnecting with your inner knowing and sense of purpose, exploring the strengths of your quieter qualities so that you can finally appreciate the light within yourself
We have loads to share with you
And we’re still learning and growing.
But don’t be fooled by our relaxed approach. It’s super important for us to feel confident in our own capabilities to help you, so between us we’ve taken a number of coach training courses which means we have a blend of brilliant tools to help you wherever you are in your journey. And because coaching is an unregulated industry, we maintain a Professional Membership with the Association of NLP to give you peace of mind too.
We’re no longer afraid to be seen.
Our younger selves would be amazed to see us now. We know how to show up in life even when we’re nervous (and we do still feel anxious, it’s a totally normal part of being human after all). It’s been said that we’re living examples of how confidence can shift, and we want this for you too.
Above all, we’ve learnt this...
You can change.
No, not change into someone new. Not become more extroverted than you were born to be. You can change in a way that gets you back to who you really truly are, underneath the fear, the masks and the avoidance.
It’s not about becoming something you’re not. It’s not even about ‘finding’ your voice. It’s simply about shifting your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a way that lets the real you into the light. The ‘you’ who already has an important voice, just waiting to be heard. Because there is so much goodness in you, that you don’t see for yourself yet, that we believe the world absolutely needs to see.
What People are Saying about Quiet Connections...
Hannah, East Midlands
Being in touch with you already feels life changing. I feel better about who I am and more proud of myself as a quieter person. I have become more accepting of any struggles I have. I am actually surprised how many wins I have had since the programme started. The surprising thing is that I didn't necessarily plan a lot of these as a comfort stretch, but I seem to be pushing myself to do new things anyway.
I would like to thank QC so much for such an amazing course, and especially my assigned coach for being a really great support and always willing to give her time. I feel that I have learnt a lot and have grown a lot as a result of the programme and most importantly, I know that I am not alone and am looking forward to continuing as a member of the quiet community!

I've been most surprised at how quickly I've become something like the person I wanted to be and how taking gradual steps to stretch my comfort zone - which had shrunk in recent years - had made that easy to do. When I was driving home after completing the last stretch of my plan - going for a six-mile walk with a group of around 25 people I had never met before - I had such a strong feeling of pride in myself that I had not felt for some time.
I'd recommend Quiet Connections and the Socially Anxious to Quietly Confident programme to anyone who experiences social anxiety to any degree - even if you feel too introverted or not introverted enough to take part. QC will help with whatever you want to achieve or whoever you want to work towards becoming. Hayley, Stacie and Phil talk to you on your level (they're Quieteers too!) and they are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, inspiring, patient, kind coaches. And they're great company in the live sessions!
Your support has helped me gain confidence and now I have a job 😊 Huge thank you for all the help. I would definitely recommend Quiet Connections

I'm so glad I found you. It's so nice to know that others are going through similar things. What I like most is being able to talk to others who have similar issues, learning how to overcome those using different techniques to control anxiety. It's been a great way of making new friends with similar stories.
I am grateful for quiet connections because they give me a chance to be me, without judgement or criticism, harsh words or being made fun of. I am able to be part of a group socially, in comfort and feeling safe, for the first time in a long time with them. I have a sense of belonging and being cared about. It's just lovely.
I like the openness of the group and the way they greeted me when I first started a few months ago. They continue to show an interest and make me feel welcome.

Since joining Quiet Connections, I have started volunteering in a place I had no prior experience of and gained employment. What’s most surprised me is being able to going to a party, dancing, socialising with new people and feeling very comfortable with the whole event… actually enjoying it!
I have more confidence and I am becoming more myself. I now have self-compassion and more understanding of my quietness and my past reactions. I see I am becoming more responsible for opening up new opportunities in my life, I am becoming increasingly stronger to experience more for myself and family.
Quiet connections has rebalanced my life with their kindness, knowledge and fantastic support. Working with Quiet Connections is the best thing I’ve done!

I felt nervous about joining a group, however, once arriving and being greeted by Hayley and Michele, I felt myself relaxing. Ten ladies turned up and by the end of the session, we were chatting with each other and some of us even felt comfortable enough to speak up in the group –and that included me! I was very happy to learn about social anxiety and how the cycle of anxiety works. It lead me to learn new coping strategies that really will manage my anxiety and boost my confidence. The session really helped me. In fact, the very next morning, I spoke with two new ladies on the pre-school run! I even felt confident enough to move forward with my career plans this week. I signed up for a new course and I also contacted professionals to ask to meet for some advice (I’ll be using the techniques I learned when I meet them!)
Working with Quiet Connections massively lifted my mood as I feel lighter and more at peace with myself. My biggest insight has to be the fact I am not my anxiety. I experience anxiety for sure but it's the same as any other emotion, it comes in waves and because I am not it, I am therefore not broken or defective - this with the permission to be kind to myself instead of listening to my inner critic in the moments I was struggling has been so freeing for me. Even due to Covid and sessions being virtual I couldn't of forged a more honest open relationship with my coach. Thank you to all QC folk. I plan to stay active in the app and continue growing back into myself.
My coaching sessions with Quiet Connections have been amazing. I have come so far since I started with my coach. She has firstly helped me to identify & understand what was causing me stress & anxiety in the first place as I didn’t really know. We then explored those things and developed tools to help me cope better. The biggest thing I’ve got back is my motivation and this is honestly changing my life! What works with Quiet Connections is that it’s tailored exactly to you as an individual, I tried counselling before and it tends to be too general, one size fits all! I couldn’t recommend my Coach highly enough, she has helped me change my outlook on life so much for the better.
The team at Quiet Connections were really welcoming and helped me get the confidence to get a job. Now, I'm earning money and I never thought I could get to this stage but because of them I have. I am so happy I attended Quiet Connections, it really helped and I would definitely recommend it!
