Blue Health & Writing for Wellbeing at Gylly Beach

Saturday 24th September 10am-Midday

Gylly Beach, Falmouth, is a perfect place to get together for a relaxing morning of writing, creativity, mindfulness, and connection in the spacious blue environment.

QC Coach & Blue Health Coach, friend, writer & Quietpreneaur, Emily Wheeler of Strength in Feathers CIC will guide you through some blue health writing prompts to increase feelings of wellbeing.

Check out Strength in Feathers CIC here: www.strengthinfeathers.com

What we’re doing:

We'll be meeting on the beach and will have an introduction to Blue Health and Writing for Wellbeing. Please bring your own notebooks and pens, and we'll explore the beach with a creative purpose; either staying as a group or branching out and regathering from time to time, whichever you prefer.

Everyone is welcome to this workshop - including children as long as they are with an adult!

You’ll never be asked to share your writing, although there will be an opportunity to if you’d like to at the end.

Please bring suitable clothing for the weather. There is little shelter under the trees but not lots. If it’s very wet we will go into a cafe, so please bring some money to buy a drink or food if you’d like to.

Hi, I'm Emily!

I'm running the gathering.

Our Quiet Meet Up gatherings are a safe space for those of us who are quieter and feel anxious in social situations.

You’ll be part of a friendly group of like-minded individuals with similar feelings and stories in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Use the time and space to quietly connect and enjoy yourself in a way that feels comfortable for you.

We know how scary it can be meeting new people and going to new places so we believe that getting as far as the car park and through the door is a huge win for many of us! There's no need to set a big goal to speak and participate, you're invited to go at your own pace.

Here's what you can expect:

  • It's okay to talk, and it's okay to be quiet too. We understand that you may prefer to ease into conversation gradually, or want to simply enjoy sharing company with others. We welcome quietude and chatter.
  • We encourage you to go at your own pace. There's never any pressure to participate more than what feels right and good for you.
