Polkerris is one of Cornwall's best family beaches, synonymous with stunning scenery and a chilled vibe. The idyllic sandy cove and stunning coastline is the perfect environment for making the most of the coast.

What we’re doing:
We'll be meeting for a relaxing visit to the beach, where we can take a walk across the shoreline, dip our toes in the water for a paddle, or maybe bring a book to read whilst resting on the sand.
If we get peckish, we can pop over to The Hungry Sailor Cafe where we can takeaway a Cornish ice cream, an award-winning pasty, cheesy chips, or other snacks and drinks.
Meeting Point: We will meet at 11am in the Polkerris car park. Look for Michele (pictured below).
Cost: Free.
Please bring some money if you would like to purchase any refreshments from the cafe.
You must register to let us know you are coming.
Polkerris has a variety of Watersports available to hire, as well as being a great bay for sea swimming. Whilst we won't be trying our hand at paddle boarding, or kayaking as part of the Meet Up, if you'd like to stay after to have a go, you are more than welcome to. Let us know as we might be able to connect you with another Quieteer who is also interested.

I'm running the gathering.
Our Quiet Meet Up gatherings are a safe space for those of us who are quieter and feel anxious in social situations.
You’ll be part of a friendly group of like-minded individuals with similar feelings and stories in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Use the time and space to quietly connect and enjoy yourself in a way that feels comfortable for you.
We know how scary it can be meeting new people and going to new places so we believe that getting as far as the car park and through the door is a huge win for many of us! There's no need to set a big goal to speak and participate, you're invited to go at your own pace.
Here's what you can expect:
- It's okay to talk, and it's okay to be quiet too. We understand that you may prefer to ease into conversation gradually, or want to simply enjoy sharing company with others. We welcome quietude and chatter.
- We encourage you to go at your own pace. There's never any pressure to participate more than what feels right and good for you.

By car: From Par. Head West on Par Grn/A3082 towards Moorland Rd. Turn right onto Moorland Rd. Then turn right onto Eastcliffe Rd. Continue along A3082 through Polmear. Take the next right, then another right and follow down to the car park.

By Bus: The nearest bus stop is at The Ship pub at Polmear, about 20 minutes walk along the coast path. Plan your route here.

By Train: Polkerris is 2 miles from the mainline rail station at Par.

Main Polkerris Car Park located approximately 200m from the beach on the right-hand side as you descend the hill entry to Polkerris village. Pay and Display between 8am and 6pm

Tregaminion Overflow Car Park situated in a field 200 yards on from the Polkerris beach turning heading towards Menabilly. A 5-minute walk down the coast path to Polkerris. Cost £2.50 All Day

When you register, Michele will reach out to you ahead of the gathering to say hello and help ease any anxieties you may have around coming, help connect you with others, and answer any questions you have.
